Surround the Sign

Surround the Sign

Bill 1182, requires Tennessee businesses to add ‘warning’ signs to multi-stall bathrooms. The law was specific on the contents, look, and where the sign had to go.
But they didn’t say what you could or couldn’t put around the sign.

In order to show support to the Transgender community, we created 22 signs that showed messages of love and unity (or a middle finger to the warning itself).
These signs were made available for free to any Tennessee business and put up in our Nashville office.

Luckily, Judge Aleta A. Trauger of the US The District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee recently granted a preliminary injunction against the law while litigation proceeds. But the story isn’t over - this is only the beginning of a long road to equality.

It’s Nice That thought this was a really nice project.

As did Adweek and Little Black Book.
