36 Days of Type 2020

A global project for designers, typographers, illustrators, animators, crafters, artists and more, to push the realms of type design by focusing on a letter from the alphabet a day. This year I decided to work on a modular typeface and push the limits of form and legibility with each letter. I kept the color scheme black and white so as not to distract from the unique letterforms.

Character Illustration; Personal

I like to draw characters in my spare time, or if I’m watching a movie/TV show and a character stands out to me, I love nothing more than getting out my iPad and interpreting how I see them in my imagination. Below are a few examples of this type of illustration/sketching I like to do. As you can probably tell… I love Grease.

Kaiju Playhouse; Character Design

An ongoing personal project in which I create weird and wonderful characters. Straight from my mind to the computer screen. Inspired by traditional Japanese Kaiju film characters and iconic American cartoon artists from the 1960's; such as Ed Roth and Bill Campbell, the end results are intended to be irreverent and wacky.

The B-52’s; Whammy!

Whammy! is the third studio album by American new wave band the B-52's. Released in 1983, popular singles from the album include "Legal Tender," "Whammy Kiss," and "Song for a Future Generation."

I designed a limited edition version of the vinyl featuring the original track listing, omitting ‘Moon 83’, and including the Yoko Ono cover ‘Don’t Worry’. With a heavy typographic influence, I wanted to keep the artwork bold, fresh and irreverent, with quirky song titles and often odder lyrics coming to the forefront of the designs. In addition to the vinyl album artwork, t-shirts and posters were also designed.
